About this comic
Soon after a nursing student decides she wants to study art instead of anesthesiology, COVID strikes her home country of Iran. This story tells the sad tale of the first nurse to die of COVID in Iran, and the guilt of the author who survived.

Mahour Pourghadim
Mahour is an Iranian comic artist and illustrator. She has a B.A in Persian Painting, an M.F.A in Illustration, and is an alumna of the Sequential Artists Workshop. Collaborating with her partner, Sadaf Faghihi, since 2017, they have made several comics, a few of which have won national and international awards. Using historic Iranian motifs, Mahour has always strived to share stories of her culture beyond mainstream media representations.

Sadaf is an Iranian comic writer. She has a B.Sc in Anesthesiology, a B.A in scriptwriting, and an M.A in Art Studies. Although nearly a decade has passed since the last days she worked at the hospital, she is still trying to show the human/body conflicts in her fiction and non-fiction works.
